中文的sorry有多少種意思?
抱歉、對不起，就這兩種而已吧?
英文的sorry呢?
其實有很多種含意
"我為你的遭遇感到難過"或著是"我很同情你" I feel sorry for you
(不過這句話也會被當成反話來用，I feel sorry for you變成一種"你真可悲"的感覺)
"不好意思" sorry about that
"我感到很遺憾" "很遺憾聽到這個消息" I'm sorry、 I'm sorry to hear that
當然sorry也可以只是單純的"抱歉"或"對不起" I'm sorry
"我感到很抱歉" I feel sorry
正式一點還會有人說"I apologize"(我向你道歉)
有人跟你道歉的時候你可以回答"apology accepted"(我接受你的道歉)
下次看電影或影集的時候試著注意聽聽看有沒有以上這些句子囉~
另一個常聽到的詞是excuse me
中文可以翻成"借過"或是"不好意思"
我個人認為excuse me是個很好的片語也是個很棒的文化，
因為我不覺得中文的"借過"是有禮貌的用詞
現在很多人不管是在菜市場還是在捷運、火車、公車上總是很愛"借過"、"借過"的喊，邊喊還會邊推擠，好像只要有喊"借過"就是有禮貌，但其實不見然。
英文裡其實沒有"借過"這個詞，而是用excuse me
"excuse" 一詞有原諒的意思
所以當我們在講excuse me的時候意思其實是"不好意思，原諒我要從這裡過去"、"不好意思，原諒我需要走到你的前面"、"如果有推擠到你的話，不好意思請原諒我"...等等
假設我們有好幾個人要通過一個走道，但前方有人擋住去路，
這個時候我們可以說 "excuse us"
把excuse me當中的"我"改成"我們"
